The gap closes quickly. Tobacco, sandalwood and the lingering rum accord settle into a dark, sweet warmth that carries the same seductive shape as the Initio. In the air, it can be difficult to separate them without paying close attention. Up close, After Effect remains drier, spicier and less creamy.
Community opinion is not completely unanimous, which is worth noting. Plenty of wearers consider it one of the strongest Side Effect clones, while others find the opening too synthetic.
