Marwa is clearly aimed at Louis Vuitton Imagination. The ginger and citrus opening gets very close to the same clean, sparkling DNA, although Marwa can feel sharper, greener and a little more synthetic during the first few minutes.
The real similarity shows up once the tea, ambroxan and woods settle in. That clean black-tea effect is convincing enough that plenty of side-by-side comparisons put Marwa among the closest Imagination alternatives. The original still smells smoother and more seamless, while Marwa tends to push ginger and incense harder.
Performance opinions are unusually mixed. Some bottles seem to fade quickly, while others last most of the day after sitting for a while. What is much harder to argue with is the value. At around forty dollars, Marwa gets surprisingly close to a fragrance costing several times more.
